Subject: Year-beginning meeting. This month The Burbank Fire Corps
Program will be meeting its annual Standardized Emergency
Management System (SEMS) and National Incident
Management System (NIMS) training requirements by
holding a series of tabletop drills at the January meeting.
Instead of our usual Power Point presentation and lecture,
members will get active experience in utilizing the Incident
Command System to meet our annual SEMS and NIMS
                     training requirements.

As a reminder: as a requirement to be deployable to mutual
aid requests (such as the when BFCP was utilized to assist
with the Station Fire) or be mobilized for a Federal emergency --
all members must be SEMS and NIMS compliant and attend
annual refresher training. This is held only once a year; this
year it is the January meeting.

We will also be discussing the reorganization of the BFCP Steering
Committee as well as upcoming open Steering Committee
                     opportunities for general members.

are now available only to DCS members.

However, we will continue to post messages from the local District 12
