COUNTYWIDE DCS MESSAGES FOR WEEK OF 01/07/08:

Welcome to 2008!

Routine: 01/07/2008, 0805 hours
To: All Members
From: Executive Staff

We hope everyone had a wonderful and safe New Years.
This year we have several missions in the plans for
DCS to broaden our activities/deployments. We are
working with Los Angeles County Fire to re-establish
our communications with their Department and getting a
closer working relationship with the Los Angeles and
Long Beach Chapters of the Red Cross. We are
developing training with our neighboring counties
(San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura) and more involvement
with State Office of Emergency Services. We had an
outstanding growth in 2007. Let's keep up the
OUTSTANDING work in 2008.

From: Jeff Jablonsky, Staff 001

I want to thank everyone for your outstanding
dedication to serving the public of Los Angeles County
and all of the County Departments. I have completed
the hour statistics for all of our members for 2007.
The total hours all of our members worked in 2007 was
113,984. At of average of $40.00 per hour, that is a
cost savings of $4,559,360 of free service to the
citizens of Los Angeles County. This number is
astonishing to say the least. It is a pleasure to
work with such a dedicated group of people who dedicate
your time, money and equipment to support our County.
