On Friday, 04/30/2010, and email was sent out from M-001 and
Staff 10 regarding a special event for the Boy Scouts. In this message,
it was noted that a prompt reply was requested. At this time only 4 people
have responded. It is hoped that everyone take these messages as
important for you to read and respond even if you are NOT able to participate.
By not responding, I do not know if the message got through, or you just
don’t care. However, it is your responsibility to reply either yes or no to the
event. As we prepare for the approaching fire season, it is imperative that
replies to special district messages are acknowledged. IF you did not get
the message from either M-001 or Staff 10 for the Boy Scout event, please
contact Mike Farrell through email at farrell075@aol.com.

To: All Members
From: Rick Norwood, Staff 11
I would like to thank everyone for the effort you put in during this 3 day event.
You demonstrated what DCS can do and how quickly we can react to
fluid situations. We responded officially to three medical emergencies
and two missing child situations (actually missing parents) both of which
had good outcomes. In many instances our radios worked in areas the
radios BSA rented didn't and we acted as relay stations. BSA officials told
us on Sunday afternoon they were very pleased with the service and
communications we provided them, the professional manner in which it was
done, and they could not have done it without the work DCS did.
